There are three ways to reduce the concentration of ink: using toner oil, using diluent and adding solvent.
Using inking oil to adjust ink blending oil (also known as gold blending oil) is a kind of material composed of various components except pigment in ink. Therefore, when using inking oil to adjust the concentration, the viscosity will remain unchanged, only the formula of resin and pigment will change.
Function: reduce concentration, improve luster and transparency.
Note: in a small amount of ink in the use of a large amount of inking oil, often easy to cause blockage.
Using diluent to adjust diluent (also known as thinning agent) is a transparent ink made by replacing the pigment part of the formula with the so-called "physical pigment" - five color pigment.
Function: use diluent to reduce the concentration, the viscosity of the ink also remains unchanged, the proportion of pigment and resin can remain unchanged, and will not cause blocking.
Defects: often cause the gloss and transparency of ink reduced.
Adding solvent to reduce the concentration effect: keep a certain proportion of resin and pigment. The viscosity of the ink will also be reduced.
Defect: it has great influence on printing effect and is limited by dilution viscosity. It is not an ideal method except for a certain degree of concentration adjustment.
