1. Ink on the accuracy of the roller, finish, plating has higher requirements
Most of the time, due to the slow drying of ink, better transfer, the depth of the plate roller mesh is shallow, at this time the accuracy of the plate is not required, the ink layer can not cover the defects of the plate body, such as some common "car pattern", "washboard" and other problems are caused by this.
The surface finish of the plate is not high, and the ink is not easy to clean. Due to the excellent ink transfer property, the ink attached to the gravure cylinder surface after the scraper is scraped is easy to transfer to the printing substrate, which will lead to dirty printing. Therefore, we have to increase the pressure of the scraper frequently. If the hardness of the chromium plating layer on the surface of the plate roller is not enough, the service life will be shortened.
2. The depth and gradient of high and dark parts are different from those of solvent ink plate
The water-based ink transfer is good, the shallow network reproduction is good, the performance is particularly outstanding. Gravure screen point from the scraper after the transfer of ink viscosity change is not obvious, the dot is easy to reproduce completely. At this time, if the engraving parameters of the plate roller are still set according to the traditional solvent ink version, it is easy to cause high and dark level contrast, which is greatly weakened, often taking one into consideration and losing the other. This requires that the gradient should be steeper when plate making, the dark part is a little deeper, and the middle to high-profile part is shallower. Only taking this into account, can the high-key and dark gradient reproduce perfectly.
3. Dot expansion is larger than solvent ink
Generally speaking, the printing viscosity of ink is low, the drying is slow, and there are all kinds of auxiliaries and alcohols in the ink, so that the lines and handwriting in the printing pattern expand seriously. As a result, the printed pattern lines become thicker, the sharp corners become blunt, the positive characters become larger, the reverse Yin characters become smaller, the handwriting is fuzzy, and the barcode scanning cannot pass, resulting in waste products. Therefore, we should fully consider this point in plate making, and reduce the line appropriately.
