Cause analysis:
——Packaging materials
Improper control of brush process - printing ink needs to be dissolved in organic solvents (alcohols, ketones, esters, benzene) before printing. If the printing process is not properly controlled, the organic solvents are not fully volatilized and remain in the packaging materials. After being used for packaging drugs, they will slowly migrate to the drugs, causing peculiar smell of drugs.
Improper control of compounding process - before packaging and laminating, the adhesive needs to be dissolved in organic solvent, and then the organic solvent is volatilized through the subsequent process. If the composite process is not properly controlled, some solvents will remain in the packaging bag, which will cause drug pollution after packaging.
Poor quality of raw materials - the quality of raw materials used in packaging is poor, and the content of small molecular substances containing odor is high.
Poor quality of adhesive - if the quality of composite adhesive is poor, it is easy to produce toluene diamine toxic substances at high temperature.
Experts suggest that:
——Pay attention to the monitoring of the hygienic properties of packaging materials, such as solvent residue, toluene diamine content and non-volatile matter.
——Select appropriate ink (such as solvent-free ink) and adhesive, adjust the process parameters of volatilization and drying during printing and compounding.

——Test sample: plastic composite film used for the packaging of a granule (the customer said that the smell would be smelled when the package was opened after heat sealing).
——Targeted test items: solvent residue.
——The results showed that the total residual solvents of the composite membrane were 6.8 mg / m2, including 1.2 mg / m2 of benzene solvents. The odor was mainly caused by high residual solvent.
