Definition and calculation of compound pressure
In the process of dry composite processing, the pressure between composite rubber roller and composite steel roller (hot roll) is a very important process parameter.
Generally, the composite pressure value on the production process sheet or test sheet of each manufacturer is expressed by the inlet pressure kgf / cm2 of the cylinder connected with the composite cot, but in fact, the composite pressure value should be expressed in kgf / cm or kgf / m. The value of this unit represents the pressure value (not the pressure value) applied between the composite rubber roller and the composite steel roller or on the unit length of the material being compounded.
In the composite flexible packaging material processing industry, the composite pressure value expressed in kgf / cm or kgf / m should be 10-20 kgf / cm or 1000-2000 kgf / m.
The conversion formula of the above two composite pressure values is: PL = 2kpssc / LR
Where: PL - composite pressure value in kgf / cm or kgf / M;
Ps-kgf / cm2 is the composite pressure value of unit or the inlet pressure value of cylinder;
SC - piston area in the cylinder connected with the composite cot, cm2;
LR - length of composite cot, cm;
K - coefficient, dimensionless, is related to the way of mechanical pressure;
There are two kinds of mechanical pressing methods for composite cots: ① direct pressing type and ② lever type
In the direct pressure mode, K value is 1.
In the lever type pressure mode, the value of K is a / B, usually greater than 1.
Generally speaking, the length of the composite steel roller is greater than that of the composite rubber roller, and the width of the composite flexible packaging substrate is less than the length of the composite rubber roller. Therefore, the composite pressure PL value applied on the composite rubber roller on the composite flexible packaging substrate is only related to the length of the composite rubber roller, but not to the width of the flexible packaging base material.
The principle of setting the composite pressure PL is that the composite pressure should increase with the increase of the thickness of the composite film.
When analyzing the influence of composite pressure on composite strength (peel strength), if it is for the same equipment, then PS value can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis; if it is for different types and manufacturers of equipment, only PL value is meaningful.
