Oleic acid amide and erucic acid amide are two kinds of smooth agents with moderate price, obvious effect, little dosage (0.05% - 0.3%), non-toxic (FDA approved), wide range of use, and wide application prospects.
Adding 0.05% ~ 0.3% oleic amide in low density polyethylene (LDPE) resin can significantly reduce the static and dynamic friction coefficient of the resin, improve the processability of the resin and the opening of the film, effectively prevent the adhesion between the films, increase the handle of the film or molded products, and improve the surface smoothness of the products.
When oleic amide (0.05%) is added to polyolefin cable material and all plastic communication cable material, the friction coefficient can be reduced from 0.70 to 0.16. Milk, soybean milk, soy sauce, beverage and other liquid substances packed by automatic filling machine require that the packaging film is easy to open and the dynamic friction coefficient is less than 0.35. Only oleic amide or erucic acid amide can meet the requirements. Adding 0.02% - 0.1% oleic amide to foamed polyethylene (fruit net cover) can make its static friction coefficient ≤ 0.30 and increase its luster obviously. The requirements of transparency, strength, elasticity and surface smoothness of disposable medical syringes are particularly high, so it is necessary to add a smooth agent to the materials.
Adding oleic amide or erucic acid amide to plastic ink (surface printing ink) can improve the smoothness and smoothness of the ink surface, as well as improve the adhesion, stickiness, scratch resistance and penetration resistance of the ink on the surface of printing crystal, so that the imprint is clear and the color is bright.
