Solvent decomposition of waste plastics
Decomposition in solvent: random polypropylene, random polystyrene, linear phenolic resin, uncured resin, cured phenolic resin and polycarbonate are decomposed in naphthalene or α - methylbenzene at 300-400 ℃ to produce low molecular compounds. Most of the products produced by random polystyrene are toluene, ethylbenzene and styrene; C6-C9 compounds are produced from random polypropylene; phenol and cresol are mostly generated from linear phenolic resin and cured phenolic resin; the products of polycarbonate are similar to phenolic resin. The decomposition reaction of PVC is to use nitrobenzene, trimethylphenyl phosphite, benzoate and dioctyl phthalate as solvents to produce polyene (hydrocarbon) and hydrogen chloride. When the reaction temperature is 207 ℃, the dehydrochlorination reaction can be fully promoted by using triphenyl phosphate or trimethyl phosphite as solvent.
