The color adjusted by the ink factory often has errors with the standard color when it is used in the printing plant. This is a problem that is difficult to avoid completely. It can only be reduced to the minimum. What causes this problem, how to control it, and how to improve the accuracy of color matching in ink factory?
Printing method
Most of the ink factories use small printing machines imported from Britain. The mesh of this machine is on a flat plate, and the printing is completed by moving the round embossing roller with the printing film. The machine in the printing factory is in the way of round pressing, and the mesh is on the rotating circular roller. These two kinds of mesh line number, angle and so on have the big difference, which makes the same ink, in the two printing methods, there is no small difference, sometimes it is not only the problem of dark and light color, but also the hue, lightness and so on, which will bring about great difference effect. In some small factories, it is even worse to use ink scraping stick to check samples. Using the proofing machine of the plate making factory to color will be much better than that of the imported small printing machine, but the price is similar. This kind of proofing machine can make the same plate as the printing factory, and can design different levels and depth printing patterns according to the needs. This makes the printing method basically the same as that of the printing factory, and the printing plate, an important factor affecting the hue, is also the same as that of the printing factory 。
Different print depth has different plate depth, ink factory's understanding or estimation of the depth of print also affects the accuracy of color matching. Obviously, if the ink factory uses a 45 μ m deep plate for color matching, and the customer's version is far less than 45 μ m, the color will be lighter, otherwise, it will be darker. Some people think that the ink is adjusted according to the standard ink provided by the user, and the depth of the version can be ignored. In fact, this is a theoretical view, but it is not the case in practice. From theory, as like as two peas (two cups of ink are divided into two parts), the color is uniform in both the deep and shallow (all the same conditions). As like as two peas, but in the actual color matching, it is impossible to match the same ink, so there is often such a phenomenon; sometimes it is a lighter version of the color closer (to meet customer requirements), but if the printing plate, the color is much worse, so the master of the master of the plate is very important.
The printing viscosity of color matching by viscosity ink factory should be consistent with the printing viscosity when printing this ink. The farther the difference is, the greater the color difference will be. Ink factory color matching with 22s, and the customer with 35S, at this time the color must be much darker, on the contrary, much lighter. Some ink factories do not pay much attention to this problem, and do not consider the viscosity of the printing plant, and always compare the customer's standard samples (including ink samples and printing samples) with a unified viscosity, which results in large color difference.
Printing materials the difference between the materials used by the ink factory and the printing plant (including other processes) can also cause large color difference. Some inks will be more similar to the color of the customer's printed piece, while others will be the opposite. Some inks are not changed much after compounding, but some are very big changes, such as some transparent colors. Therefore, when the ink factory color matching, we must make clear the customer's process conditions, the most basic including: whether to print white ink backing, what materials to composite, whether to polish. Theoretically speaking, the closer the printing conditions are to the printing conditions when the ink is used by the printing factory, the higher the accuracy of the ink is. However, due to the limitations of the conditions, there are still many differences between the two, such as: printing speed, viewing color environment, printing roller pressure and so on. As long as these four parts are well controlled, the accuracy of color matching of ink factory can be greatly improved.
