In 2011, the total output value of China's dairy industry reached 236.1 billion yuan, and the consumption of liquid dairy products reached about 20.9 million tons. At present, the commonly used sterilization methods of packaging materials mainly include drug sterilization and ultraviolet sterilization, which can be said to be two sharp tools for food packaging to become aseptic.
1、 The fungicide used in the drug sterilization must be a drug with strong bactericidal ability, no corrosion to the equipment, no harmful substances produced in the sterilization process, and little residue in the packaging materials.
At present, the most commonly used bactericide is hydrogen peroxide, commonly known as hydrogen peroxide. The sterilization ability of hydrogen peroxide is related to its concentration and temperature. The higher the concentration and the higher the temperature, the better the sterilization ability. Hydrogen peroxide commonly used for sterilization ranges from 25% to 30% at temperatures of 60 to 65 ℃. The sterilization with hydrogen peroxide should be combined with heating treatment, because the sterilization effect of hydrogen peroxide is better when the hydrogen peroxide is heated and evaporates from the material surface.
To sterilize packaging containers with hydrogen peroxide is to immerse the packaging container in hydrogen peroxide water or spray hydrogen peroxide directly on the packaging container for sterilization, and then conduct thermal radiation on them, so that the hydrogen peroxide remaining on the packaging container and hot air can completely evaporate and decompose into harmless steam and oxygen.
2、 Generally speaking, the sterilization effect of UV is related to the wavelength, irradiance and irradiation time of UV. The strongest effect is when the wavelength is about 250-360 nm.
The principle of ultraviolet sterilization is that the nucleic acid in the microbial cells after ultraviolet irradiation produces chemical reaction, which causes the metabolic disorder of microorganisms and makes them lose the ability of proliferation. Ultraviolet sterilization is one of the more effective methods for aseptic packaging or clean packaging. It has the advantages of no residual chemicals, high safety, simple use and low cost. But compared with hydrogen peroxide, its germicidal efficacy is not very good, so it should be used in combination with other sterilization methods.
