Production and application characteristics of solvent free polyurethane adhesive
1. Good usability
At the operating temperature, the mixed viscosity of solvent-free polyurethane adhesive is below 1000MPa · s, and the actual operation time is more than 30min, which makes up for the shortage of solvent-free adhesive which needs high temperature coating. It has a certain strength bonding force to a variety of composite materials, such as PE, BOPP, CPP, pet, NY, PVDC, etc; It has good resistance to 100 ℃ water boiling (121 ℃), acid resistance, salt resistance and oil resistance, and can be cured by heat or normal temperature. It is easy to operate and has good application performance.
2. Safety and hygiene
Solvent based adhesive is used for dry lamination. Generally, 80 ℃ drying channel is used to quickly dry the coating layer, and then composite. In the drying process, a large number of organic solvents will volatilize into the environment, causing environmental pollution. The residual nonvolatile organic solvents will be trapped in the composite film, on the one hand, it will reduce the adhesive strength of the composite film, on the other hand, it will slowly migrate to the inner surface of the composite film, polluting the inner packaging food.
The use of solvent-free polyurethane adhesive has no organic solvent volatilization and no irritating smell. There is no residual solvent problem in the composite products. There is no odor and toxicity problem. Moreover, the corrosion of organic solvent on printing ink is eliminated. At the same time, the use of solvent-free polyurethane adhesive to achieve clean production, conducive to environmental protection. In addition, because the solvent-free polyurethane adhesive does not contain organic solvent, there is no risk of fire and explosion, no explosion-proof measures are needed, and the equipment and warehouse for storing solvent are also omitted.
It is worth mentioning that the raw materials used in solvent-free polyurethane adhesive must comply with the provisions of fda175.105 and GB 9685-2003 "Hygienic standard for the use of additives for food containers and packaging materials" stipulates that there are no toxic and harmful additives or additives to human body, and each batch of raw materials must be strictly tested before use to ensure that all properties are fully up to standard before production.
3. Saving energy and reducing cost
Solvent free polyurethane adhesive can significantly reduce the production cost of the composite film
(1) Compared with dry-type composite membrane equipment, solvent-free composite equipment has the advantages of simple equipment, small occupied area, low raw materials, low maintenance cost and low investment cost.
(2) In the process of compounding, there is no need to remove the organic solvent in the adhesive through the drying channel, so the energy saving is remarkable.
(3) The amount of glue per unit area is less (only 1.5-2.0 g / m2) and the cost of adhesive is low. The amount of adhesive per unit area of solvent-free composite is about two fifths of that of dry composite. Therefore, although the price of solvent-free composite adhesive may be 70% higher than that of dry composite adhesive, the cost of solvent-free composite adhesive per unit area is about 30% lower than that of dry composite adhesive.
(4) The speed of production line has been improved obviously. The highest speed of solvent-free composite can reach 480 M / min, which is also more than 200m / min.
Based on the above reasons, the production and processing cost of solvent-free composite process is much lower than that of dry composite process, about 50% or less.
If the proportion of solvent-free composite technology in the composite market in China can reach 80% - 90% as that in foreign countries in the next 10-20 years, the economic and social benefits brought by solvent-free adhesives will be huge.
